Thermostatic shower recommendations - brands

Pretty much as per the title!

Currently have a 25yo Grohe thermostatic mixer bar fed from a combi boiler and never had any problems with it.

Revamping the en-suite & replacing everything.

Tempted to reuse the mixer bar as It has been so reliable, but it is scratched and limescaled and will look old in a brand new setting.

Don't want to spend over the odds for style, but happy to pay for substance and reliability.

Is Grohe still as good?
What other brands to look at?

Any specific recommendations? Just want a hand held, not a fixed overhead.

We use a Mira Excel and it’s the best shower I’ve ever had. Solid and weighty. Fantastic if your mains pressure isn’t the best-we thought we’d need a booster tank but we actually don’t with this shower. It has a rail fixed to the wall, no fixed overhead shower. More expensive than others but worth it.

Aqualisa

I have two Aqualisa ones and I'm very pleased with them. Had Mira in the past which was very good also.
