Sink making a glubbing noise

We moved into this house a week ago and have noticed a glubbing type noise after running the water. I'm guessing it's a blockage of some kind. Anyone have any tips on how to try to unblock before calling a plumber?

Mr Muscle Drain Cleaner or Pipe Unblocker is better than most brands, I have found. Or try Caustic Soda. Or try a plunger. But don't use a plunger after putting chemicals down the plughole!

Thanks! I'll get some later and see how it goes

You could just try a big squirt of washing up liquid, wait a few minutes then follow it down with a kettle full of boiling water, then (carefully) get a plunger on it.
That sorted my blocked up sink the other day.
