Moved house and the bathroom needs updating. Currently there is a separate bath and shower (similar to the first image) but their is a gap between them and so the shower feels quite small and not much room to move. Would like to keep them separate and considering the two layouts below but not sure what would be best. Does anyone have anything similar?

I like the second layout best. A bath under the window always looks good IMO, and having it at across the width of the room, rather than along the left hand wall will make the room look squarer / bigger I think.

I've had the second design before and loved it. We picked a slimline freestanding bath. Because the whole wet area (under the shower and bath) is tanked, you can clean around the freestanding bath easily using the handheld shower attachment.

Would say definitely put a tall heated towel on the back wall of where the shower is. If you have a rain shower head, the water doesn't splash the towels at all. And without that, in the winter I think it'd be really cold to shower as it's so open and a big area. With the towel rail it was toasty warm.
