single decorative tile

Odd question that someone knowledgeable will know the answer to I'm sure. I have a single decorative tile to put up on an outside wall. How do I mount it and what do I need to use? As it is one lonely tile and exposed to rain, I'm guessing the advice will be a bit different to tiling a whole surface.

Is the wall brick? Does it have anything on it like render or paint?

If it's just plain brick, I would just buy a smallish tub of tile adhesive and use that.

No more nails?

Do you want to take it down again eg if you move home.?

Thank you all! The wall is rendered and I'm never moving house again so not worried about taking it down

Then a small tub of outside waterproof tile adhesive should do the trick!
Failing that I have had good results with that gorilla adhesive in a tube, had a patio step come adrift and used it as a temporary get-through-winter fix. It’s lasted over a year so far!

whatever you use, make sure it’s up to the edge of the tile - you do not want water sitting behind it and freezing/getting in the wall/making a home for mozzy’s to breed. Not to mention …..spiders!
