We’re a family of 3 living in a 2 bedroom semi detached house. We bought this house 4 years ago but now that our little one is almost 4, the place is feeling a bit small. We bought the house with the idea of getting a first floor extension as the previous owner had already applied for planning permission which was successfully approved. I’m sure this permission has expired but doubt it would be hard to renew it.
The extension area is about 28 sqm and this would add 2 additional bedrooms. We stay in the Woodfarm area in East Renfrewshire. Does anyone know roughly what the sqm is costing at the minute around this region? Has anyone done a similar project just recently and give me a ballpark figure? Just need to think if this is the right option for us or move instead. We do like the area a lot and we like our neighbours but conscious that extension prices can be exorbitant. Thanks in advance
