Hi all,

Looking to find out the valuation of my house April 1991 for council tax.
Current value today is 410,000.
Is there any way to calculate this or can someone direct me

Thanks

I'd be interested too.
I was told at one point that to find local house price values (not of my own house in particular), I would need to look at old newspapers adverts on microfiche in my local library!

You can pay a surveyor to do a red book valuation on your property to give a valuation for what it would have been worth in April 1991.

Not sure how you could get an accurate valuation for free though. I think the Nationwide House Price Index Calculator you can find online would give you a very rough idea.

You can find the value on Nationwide House Price Index Calculator https://www.nationwide.co.uk/house-price-index/ by postcode. Just enter date of current value and select the year and quarter you want to compare

House price index | Nationwide

Nationwide’s house price index lets you find out how the value of your property has changed over time.
