What to do with this kitchen?

I have a fairly standard first time buyer property.
I hate the kitchen with a passion, everything is cramped in one end and all of the worktop space is just very small sections.
Cant afford an extension out the back into the garden which would be the ideal (plus I don’t think I’d get the money back when it’s time to sell)
Could potentially take down the wall between kitchen and lounge, though not sure how that might help tbh.
Could potentially put a row of units on the lounge/kitchen wall?
Or a little breakfast bar sticking out into the kitchen by the patio doors?

Any and all bright ideas for someone on a budget very welcome!

Cheapest option might be to move the door from the lounge along so you can install a U-shaped kitchen, possibly with shallow depth units along the internal wall to maximise space.

Exactly what I was going to suggest

If you can take the wall out, this may work.

Knock the wall out, install galley kitchen, have dining table at the end.

@Seaside3 has a good plan. i'd do something like that.
