How long is reasonable to wait for this repair?

Last year we had peeling paint and wet patches in the attic if our rented house. Someone came in the spring and skimmed the wall, even though I expressed concerns that this was not fixing the problem.

We now have 2 big wet patches again, coming through the skimmed plaster. We reported this last week and we're told that it will be 6 weeks before anyone comes to look at it.
It is my children's bedroom. There is nowhere else in the house to move them to as I work from home with some quite big equipment that I can't move out of my room.
I don't think that having to wait 6 weeks for someone to even look at this is acceptable but wanted to check that I wasn't being unreasonable before I call the letting agent to complain.
