How much would you offer

Ignoring individual areas, what would you say is an acceptable % decrease to offer on a property in the current climate? Having a look through Rightmove with a browser that shows me length of time for each property on the market, and the different price reductions, it seems the vast majority have been on over 2 months with asking prices dropping a good £15-30k on average houses of 350 ish.

The one we were trying to buy went for 15% over asking last month… it had been on for a while but we hadn’t been looking in that area.

It depends on so many factors. If you are in a strong proceedable position and the house has been on for months I would be starting at 15% under. You probably won't be the first low offer - so the vendor may have started to realise that asking price offers just aren't going to materialise. If they have had several low offers yours might just be the one that makes them realise prices of a year or two ago just aren't achievable anymore.
Don't bother though until you are proceedable imo
