Removable quartz worktop over oil boiler

Hi, we are planning our utility where we have an oil boiler that needs to be able to be accessed from the top for maintenance purposes. We were hoping to have quartz worktops but wondered if this was possible or whether they would be too heavy to be removable. Does anyone have any experience of this or have any ideas? Thanks

I think it'd be pretty heavy, obviously it depends on thickness and area...I found a link that says 20mm quartz is about 50 Kg per square metre... worktops are often 30 or 40 mm though.

We have quartz worktops in our kitchen, but just got a cheap top in very similar colour and patter for the utility - partly seemed silly to spend that much but mainly because it had less support and the dog would be sleeping under it!
