New bathroom - need ideas

Need to redo the bathroom but no idea what to go for. Would something like the first picture date really badly or would second be better.

I like the first one better, it has clean lines. The second looks cluttered to me.
When we did our bathroom (shower room, we took the bath out), my priority was a clear floor that was easy to clean. So we have a wall hanging wc, wall hanging basin with storage, and a Karndean floor.
I wanted to avoid all those grubby bits that used to collect behind the toilet and pedestal sink.

I have just realized that the first picture (the large one) is probably your current bathroom and the other two smaller photos are what you are deciding on.
In that case I like your current one better, both the others look cluttered.

Actually both pics are of a potential bathroom. My current one has already been demolished - dont ask ;-) It's been a bit of a last minute decision but now I need to find inspiration

Patterns are all very well if you're in love with them, but they do date, and in a small bathroom can make it look smaller. I'd tend to simplify even the first one, and have white, not wood, for the cupboard. I love wood everywhere else, including the kitchen, but not such a big face of it in the bathroom.
We're doing our bathroom soon, and I rather fancy something like your first one for myself..... (I need an envy emoji)

Did mine last year and I'm very happy with it. Love my patterned tiles, they have slightly more blue in them than the photo.

Some of the walls are half-tiled. I painted the ceiling and walls pink: looks fab imo. Can change colour for a new look. Was going to put prints on the wall but haven't got round to it.

Obviously the toilet is annoying but there was nowhere else for it to go.

I love that first bathroom btw. I'd have a coloured or wood cabinet, not white but that's me.

I love the first one, did something similar before selling my last house and it felt clean but luxurious and really helped to sell it. Liked it so much we basically replicated it in our house but with brass taps.
