I noticed this a couple of days ago. I’ve taken a few pics- do you all think it’s the brickwork around the vent that might be causing it? Is it easily fixable? House is mid 80’s semi with cavity wall insulation

Go outside and check the brickwork, look at pipes, drains, gutters. We had a patch like that, it wasn't the airbrick, it was the pointing lower down that needed re-doing.

Also there are a few little holes in between brickwork a bit higher up

I think the recent wind/rain combo has pushed water into places it doesn't usually reach. It could be that rain has blown through the air brick?

I was wondering that, weather has been shocking! . I’ve only just painted this wall in July so this is definitely new . I will fix the brickwork and run my dehumidifier and see if that works

There’s no drain pipes or any water leaking from the roof or the gutters. I did actually have my gutters cleaned this summer and they didn’t find any faults with them.
