What colour would you paint this room?

A long thin room (typical above-garage extension). It faces west, the window isn't particularly big and it's quite dark. At the other end of the room is an ensuite so there is also a bit of light coming from the east side when the bathroom door is open. The floor is grey carpet.

Interesting...any specific shade?

We have just painted a similar room soft peach. However our carpet is a straw colour.
I really hesitated because peach just wasn't a colour I ever thought of before but it's perfect for the room. Warm but pale and delicate.

I read that you can make a long thin room look better proportioned by using a light colour on the two long walls and a stronger shade of basically the same colour on the two short walls. Wondering if anyone has tried that?

I've painted a large part of our house in Farrow and Ball 'Pink Ground'. A beautiful pale pink with a touch of yellow in it, so not at all sugary. I think it would suit your room very well.

Ocean ripple maybe? Get some testers. I have used Dulux a lot and it always covers well.

Just following, as we have a ground floor garage conversion, with a grey carpet that needs decorating.
I'm wondering about dulux overtly olive, but think it might be a bit dark. Mustard went through my mind. The kids would disown me for pink.
It's a grey-blue right now with pastel stars over one wall and always feels cold.

White, sage or pale mint
