Do we move to Crawley (Gossops Green)?

We’re looking at moving to Gossops Green. The house is double the size of our current one (reason for the move) but priced almost 80k less. We love that in 5 minutes we can get to all the shops/cinema/bowling etc.
We’ve looked at Horsham but Crawley seems more ideal for us as a family amenities and price wise.

For reference we’re moving from Carshalton/Rosehill/Morden area, so unfortunately quite used to crime, homelessness, drugs etc which is what seems to scare people away from Crawley.

Crawley is fine - don't believe everything you will inevitably hear! Does it suit you - for work? for schools? What sort of thing do you do for leisure ?

Really we’re able to move anywhere, as long as there is little local shops and a train station in walking distance that will get us back into London we’re easy.
Schools aren’t an issue, nor is work. We mainly enjoy going out to eat, shopping or cinema so feel like Crawley suits us well for this! I feel like everyone is negative about Crawley due to crime, but we’re kinda used to it here anyway so I’m sure we’ll be fine!
