4 bedroom house with garden in a rural-ish area for less than 375K?

Hi All
I came across this thread from a few years ago here and have pretty much the same question (different circumstances)... anywhere in England (not Wales, Scotland or too far north due to family commitments - nothing against those areas, I love them and have had some wonderful holidays there). Needs to be detached with some privacy and not a new build - but no more than 10 minutes drive from a village/town. The more space the better but need a minimum of 4 bedrooms.
Is this possible?

So I put your search criteria into Rightmove. It couldn’t believe I meant ‘England’ and decided I meant ‘England Springs’- it returned this. Lot of bang for your buck there.

That budget would be fine here (outskirts of Doncaster).

Thank you for all the responses - ideally I would like somewhere a bit more secluded... any suggestions?

I think you will reject both as too urban, and the second is a semi, but I've not looked very hard.
Pretty certain it will be possible. You might be better taking the areas suggested y links, and focusing on one or 2 areas. I think the broadness of your search isn't helping.

Pop Herefordshire into a RM search and a decent amount comes up that suits your criteria.

Actually scratch that - there's one or two that are more isolated. And would prob need a bit of work.

How far North is too far North? Too far North of where?

There are too many to choose from when I do a search. Thousands, so it’s definitely more than possible

how Rural are you talking? Both remote and 10 mins from shops is a bit of a conflict. Shropshire ha kids that meets criteria

Where do you need to get to/access once in a while. You say Wales is a no, but Herefordshire & Shropshire whilst England are only moments from the Welsh border counties like Powys, Monmouthshire etc. And parts are less well connected to motorways so actually in some places you’d be quicker travelling further north - how far is too far? Similar for parts of the east of England. So you’d be better off saying ‘within 3 hours of X place where family live’, for instance.
