Fitted wardrobe cost?

Has anyone had any quotes recently or any idea what we’d be looking at price wise?

Width is just short of 2.5m and depth can only be 40cm max due to a window on the other wall. Ceiling height is 230cm.

It’s for a dining room so internally want a mix of shelves for glasses etc and also some pegs for coats as have no hallway storage.

Ikea pax would need some customisation due to the width I think. Wine shelves either side of the cupboards would be a possibility!

Just want white paint or white gloss and ideally handless.

what sort of cost do you think it would be?!

I was told by someone in the trade that bespoke fitted wardrobes tend to come in around £1500 per metre. I assume that excludes VAT. That compares with about £1500 in total for the IKEA Pax wardrobes I'm having, which are 3m wide.

Does that include fitting though and any customisation to make them
look more bespoke? We are not good with flat packs so would need someone to build it for us.

No, it doesn't include fitting. I will get my builders to install mine, but you could try getting quotes from a local carpenter or flat pack man/woman. I think even with fitting costs on top, IKEA still works out a lot cheaper, plus the interiors are really good in terms of organisers and drawers etc.

Thank you. Yes looking at their planner and can get it for about £600 but would need someone to fill in at sides and top to make it look better I think.

IKEA pax is about 60cm deep so it would take some adjustment as would any drawers etc. Besta is their living room storage and is 40cm deep so may be a better staring point - plus doors that may also be too deep but may work with shelves only in the narrow part. I’ve adapted some ikea units but wouldn’t want to try and adjust those depths - I’m sure a joiner could do it but it may not save you a lot.

Pax have a 35cm depth too. I think the 40 will be too deep once doors are added, will take a look though.

Have you had a look at Fittingly or Online Bedrooms www.online-bedrooms.co.uk for made to measure flat pack? We had these and it was about £2k for a 2.5 m run, and they look really nice. It was an extra £400 from memory to get them built but we did our own, and just paid someone to fit the top trim to the ceiling

Might be worth trying unflatpack.com who customise IKEA pax and make them look fitted. Ours look great for about 1/2 of what Sharps quoted.
