Water pools on drainer, how to fix?

My sink has a draining area where I keep the drying rack. The water that drips off the washing-up just sits on the drainer instead of running off into the sink. Short of installing a new sink unit, is there anything I can do?

Get a new drying rack with a drainage tray, so that empties into your sink

I think you can get these absorbent pad things to sit under the rack

mine is like this i just pick up the tray when its empty and scoot the water back into the sink with a cloth
