Attempting to freshen area near loo (wee splash...sorry!). Got a pot of Matt white from b&Q and a little roller.
This is what's happening.
What can I do?
I think it's the shitty roller.

I often touch up kitchen with a little match pot.

They had to make up the pot as they don't sell match pots in just white. It seems really thick.

Just wanted it to look a bit nicer 😐

Pics are before and current. I need to stop trying to paint over the rough bits, don't I.

It does look whiter at least!

nb I don't have many resources, shops or time on my hands.

Looks to me like the original paint is lifting possibly due to an ineffective mist cost on plaster. It may dry ok if you don't overwork the area. if not it's going to be a matter of removing all the original paint and starting again. Good luck

It's the wee causing damp in the paint/plaster layers. I see it quite a lot.

Not an immediately helpful answer I know , but it Might be worth tiling that area instead?

Oh thanks. I don't feel too inept now.
Best to leave it for now and get someone in to do a proper job in the New Year.

Tiles or remove the males from the household? I've got panelling rather than tiles in the rest of the bathroom, I'll ask my plumber guy what he thinks.
