Should I be worried? Ceiling cracks

Hi,

Just saw a house on the market that despite being recently renovated shows some serious cracks on the ceiling in the bedroom upstairs (see pictures). The crack stretches across the whole room and into the corridor. I checked the attic and the roof looked in order. Any red flags? And how much would it set me back to get the bedroom ceiling redone (south east)?

Many thanks!

Might not be serious if it's an old house but you'd need a full structural survey.
Any other cracks?

Why have they left the cracks if they have renovated? Is it badly done plaster or have they reappeared since renovating? Have they renovated or just slapped a but of paint on? I'd be asking those questions so you know what you're dealing with.

It could be nothing much or it could be serious subsidence. Don't buy without a structural survey. If it is something serious then you may not get a full mortgage.
