5 year plan to leave London....is there a checklist...?

After 50 years in east london, want to make a plan to leave....will be taking ds1 aged 34, currently a restaurant manager but always finds good jobs fast. Ds 2 will be staying for a long period, runs an office cleaning company in london. have had a brief nose in Folkestone...not sure its for us..will be looking at leigh on sea next week...we will be able to sell for about 750k but dont need a bigger house so dont want to spend more than about 350k on new place. priorities are near an airport as frequent trips to spain to see elderly parents over there....the sea would be a bonus...not keen on Brighton. Also not too remote or cut off, Ds need to find jobs, I don't as would be retiring in a few years. Anything else we need to consider..?...Am tired of all the crowds and general anti social behaviour in current area so that is a factor also.

Are you bothered about weather or keen to stay in the South? If not, see what you think of Tynemouth or Whitley Bay. Newcastle airport isn't Heathrow but flights to Spain should be fine, and being small you can get in and out pretty quickl.

How about Hastingsor Eastbourne or Battle- all are a fairly easy run up to Gatwick and in budget-

Or something like this in Christchurch ( really nice town I think) on coast and handy for Bournemouth airport and of course lots of jobs locally in hospitality as Bournemouth and Poole are close as well as Christchurch itself

Agree with pp that Christchurch is lovely and near Bournemouth airport. Whistable in Kent is very popular for people leaving east London.

South wales? We have a large 4 bed house for sale with sea views. The house does need some modernisation but would be well within your budget and have plenty left over.

Cardiff airport 30 minutes away for flights to Spain and Swansea / Cardiff not too far away for work? M4 motorway down the road gets you everywhere quickly 😂
