Hi,
I recently posted about being in the middle of a sale with a cash buyer. Things should have moved quickly. We agreed in August! However, the buyer's solicitor's search brought back results which have showed that my new build property's drains are not connected to the public drains. Since my last post, I've been able to obtain the S104. All is well there now.
However...the searches also showed that the road outside my property has not been adopted by the council, so my solicitor has asked if there is a management company that maintains it. The answer is 'no' AFAIK because I had no idea about this. I have bought new build houses and apartments before and had absolutely no idea developers were/are selling properties with unadopted drains and roads.
What recourse do I have, how quickly can I remedy this to get the sale completed and how much roughly will it cost?
Thanks All.
