Rough price of replacement induction hob and fitting?

I rent and I’ve broken the induction hob by cleaning it so obviously got some water inside it. It’s built in so was already in the house when I moved in. I’ve told my landlord what’s happened and he’s sending someone out to replace it tomorrow.

I’ve lived here 4 years and it wasn’t new when I moved in. I can’t imagine he’d buy top of the range as most of the things in the house are on the cheaper side and the house is quite dated. The landlord seems a decent guy so I doubt he’d try and take advantage of me by getting me to pay for a ridiculously priced hob. Plus I’m a good tenant, I look after the house and I pay my rent on time every month. But then again who knows!

Anyone have a rough idea on what it might cost me for a bog standard replacement hob and the electrician?

The hob is part of the fabric of the house and it is therefore your landlords responsibility to replace it. It should not cost you a penny.
