Do you have a venting hob?

I do. I love it. I had it installed in my new kitchen over the summer.

However, I didn't think it through...as it means there's a huge hole in my hob constantly letting freezing cold air from outside into my kitchen. This last week it's been really noticeable.

For those of you who have a venting hob going to the outside, how do you keep the room warm please?

Ours has a cover on the outside that shuts when the air isn't being pushed out through it. Like this.

I've got one of those. It doesn't seem to be effective though. There's definitely a cold draught coming through.
