To wonder why this house is so cheap?

Obviously it needs work doing to it and you can’t get a mortgage on it but it’s a semi detached 3 bedroom house with large gardens.

Its cheaper than most 1 bedroom flats and caravans on the same site.
I’ve seen homes that have had fires, which are advertised for more.

I’m wondering what could be so wrong with it.
Perhaps it’s simply because it’s for cash buyers only.

And that particular part of Bodmin isn't very nice either.

So why did they start their asking price at 150k and reduce by 53% in less than two months, surely easier to just start at 50k and get rid of the thing to a cash buyer?

I’m guessing cause it’s a pre-fab house, they’re notoriously hard to get a mortgage on!

This - it's non-standard construction.

Perhaps a massive issue, like something structural, has been discovered in the meantime.

Because most sellers are a bit greedy but had a wake up call for reality. People often overvalue their own belongings.

True, but PTB/media and bankers have brainwashed people over the last 20 years to believe that a shed with a fireplace is super scarce and should be super pricey, it is tragic really TBH.

Quite apart from the non-morgagable construction, I imagine it is also full of asbestos! It would cost a fortune to renovate and then you wouldn't be able to sell it because of it's construction type!

House is worth about 20k, if they get 70k from some mug I think they will be having a wee party on completion day?

As well as all the above, Bodmin is not the best place.

Bodmin is one of the weirdest, creepiest places I have ever been to.
