View from the hallway into kids rooms

What would you put in the spot that’s directly visible from the hallway? The kids currently have their study desks - and they are very messy.

• bed ? Privacy ?
• wardrobe? We are planning to get ikea pax - would that look nice?
• leave the desk there ?

I would expect that the doors would always be closed either for privacy or to retain heat so it wouldn't matter because no one would ever have that view unless they were going into the room and then they will see the mess anyway?

What would look tidy from outside (from hallway)? Would a wardrobe look bad there?

Thinking about this house (where we don't shut doors)
Our room: a chest of drawers and foot of bed.
DS1: bed (no where else to put it tho)
DS2: wardrobe

Think I'd go for wardrobe, or foot of bed (can you turn the bed through 90 degrees in the room?)

I can honestly say I've never given a thought to the view of the bedrooms from the hallway.

I'd shut the doors as others have said if you don't want people seeing messy rooms.

Why would casual visitors need a view into your children’s bedrooms?
Baffled at the whole concept of staging a bedroom to look good in the view from the landing.

Surely you just shut the door? Or make sure the bedroom is always tidy if the door is open.
