Fence help

Neighbour has fence in front garden, untouched wood, been up for a few years now so a little worn , but it’s hers😀
she won’t let me paint to match my other fence, we have had a new drive, front door etc and the fence just looks a bit shit tbh.
We had the same issue in the back garden and ended up putting up a fence next to hers but I want to try and to avoid having to do it again if possible.
Any idea? , I have considered shrubs but we regularly have a herd of sheep that come into the garden and they decimate the greenary ( free roaming, completely legal, )

Well if she won't let you paint it not really that much more you can do other than erect another one in front of it.

Maybe you might be able to ask her why she doesn't want it painting. Maybe she is concerned the paint will come through and make her side look bad.

So possibly if you offer to paint her side as well you might persuade her. That might be a lot cheaper than buying a new fence and having it fitted. You may end up having to have the colour she wants on your side though :)

It's not great, but might be the significant lesser of two evils in cost terms if you are fixated on changing it.

She says she likes a ‘ natural’ looking fence so painting her side isn’t an option.
I am going to get a quote for fencing anyway s
o at least then I have a price in mind.
