London families of FTB with DC: what are you planning to compromise on?

If you are in London and suburbs and are considering buying your first property with DC in the current climat… what are you going to compromise on?

Noise! We're trying to buy a big house on a busy-ish road. It's 50% bigger than the same money would get you on the street round the corner.

We're quite a noisy family anyway, and our ideal home is somewhere DCs can learn drums or trombone or something and we don't have to stress about ruining the neighbours' tranquillity.

Same! Bought very recently on a busy road

Same - we got loads more house for our money by buying on an LTN boundary road (which actually really isn't that bad). We also compromised on garden size, but my DC are older.
