Advice for furnishings for this room

Hey everyone!

I have recently painted our back wall in a beautiful shade of green, I have since bought a cushion for my rocking chair and a couple for the sofa with green included however I am not sure if it looks right, something feels off, I don't know if it's the two chocolate brown matching ones? I love the material of those which is why I wanted them and easy clean! Any advice on what other colours I could include for the sofa? The rest of the furniture is wood and cream.

Also I have this unit which is where I store toys, I have a new vase on the way this one I've had years & doesn't fit decor anymore but considering the huge prints I have behind sofa are square I feel having a square mirror there means to many angles? Would It be better I swap it for a round one? What else could I pop on the unit to style it a bit more with the vase?

Thank you!

Pink is always an obvious choice with green.

I'd move your vase to one side, it's all very 'neat' and maybe add a couple of other items, visually groups of of 3/5 are more appealing.

The room is nice, but polite, so I'd perhaps I'd consider a different colour rug.

If you think about how the room would look if it were in a black and white picture, the brown cushions are a much darker colour than the other colours in the room. That is why they are a bit jarring.

I agree with pp. Pink would look lovely but make sure you go for a pale one.

@Geneticsbunny thank you! I have two pink cushions upstairs I don't use I might swap them over and see what it looks like, I agree I was told to use a darker colour to warm the room up but they just seem to stand out to much!

A rust/burnt orange/terracotta would be nice!
