Petrol blue walls - what colour woodwork?

Hi. I’m getting my living room redecorated. Tempted by a deep blue wall, petrol blue or similar. I know it’s popular at the moment, but I do really like it. What colour would you do the woodwork (skirtings, window-sills, built-in shelving alcove?). DH says white is fine. I was thinking an accent colour but not sure what one. And what about the white radiator - paint or not? Thanks for any ideas! I’m a bit clueless on this stuff.

Definitely white. Will look great against a dark background.

Add colour through accessories & soft furnishings. Orange and gold are great with petrol blue.

White. It will make the blue look lovely. An accent colour on the woodwork will look like a child's bedroom.

White. It'll intensify the blue, look clean and fresh and prevent it from being too dark.

You could add some furnishings in a burnt orange, but overall, you need the contrast.

I’m also opting for a deep blue in the living room and will be doing the woodwork the same colour (will have paint mixed to colour match). I think pure brilliant white will work too depending what sort of look you’re going for. I would use an off white personally as you’re looking for a crisp contrast.

We used Inkwell by Dulux and went with pure brilliant white woodwork in our living room. Gorgeous colour. Not at home right now so can't show pic but this is from the Homebase website and they've accessorised with white also x

I have different coloured walls in every room but always brilliant white ceilings, radiators and skirting boards.
