Why are you asking?

alloelloholasenor · 07/11/2023 03:32

Second three bed!

Has a downstairs lo and a bit of character, I actually really like that one

mathanxiety · 07/11/2023 03:41

The third 3-bedroom house is nice.

The kitchen layout in the second is a bit wonky.

CrikeyMajikey · 07/11/2023 03:42

The very last one.

FloofCloud · 07/11/2023 03:44

First two look prettier but are pretty small, especially 2 which has a lot crammed in. 3 uses space best IMO but bedroom 3 is more of a nursery/office size

garlictwist · 07/11/2023 05:17

The second three bed says sold.

I like all of them.

I think they’re all very workable, practical houses and could all be nice homes depending on what you want/need.
Personally I’d discount the first 2 bed and 3 bed because I prefer to park in front of the house rather than by a separate set of garages but plenty of people wouldn’t care.

The 2nd 3 bed looks the nicest from the outside but the interior space is a bit awkward, it’s also the most expensive and I would probably spend more money changing the interior of that one than any of the others. On that basis I don’t think it’s a true comparable to the others.

The last 3 bed is the one I like best but of course it’s under offer. None of the bedrooms are large but that goes for everything you’ve linked so not really a negative in this context. It looks competitively priced which I suppose is backed up by the fact it’s gone.

I really don’t think there’s much to choose between any of them though.

Is one of them yours or are you hoping to buy?

FallingAutumnLeaf · 07/11/2023 06:48

I'd discount the first due to the front door opening into the open plan, with stairs in there too.

Second is nice, and probably my favourite of the ones still on the market

Third is nice, but garage area looks a bit run down. Would want to wander round.

Fourth is nice. But SSTC. My favourite over all.

5th is small but nice. Stairs off lounge put me off.

SuddenlyOld · 07/11/2023 16:53

I don't like new builds as they are like rabbit hutches stacked on top of one another and the gardens are tiny. So my favourite is the 1st 3-bed.

Illegallyblonder · 07/11/2023 17:02

House 1: the living room isn't big enough to take that dark colour. Nice enough but half a million, wow!

House 2, good that it has 2 bathrooms and parking, both important IMO but the garden is very overlooked

House 3, nice but I'd want another bathroom. Nicer sized garden

House 4 looks the nicest from the outside but don't think they should have such a big fridge freezer and is the bathroom on a weird half landing? Or is that a second loo?

House 5 is beautifully presented but the 2 small beds are tiny BUT could you extend to the side? Probably not actually, it's not much space.

AfterTheRainComesSun · 10/11/2023 10:24

@Illegallyblonder yes but this isn't really about the wall color, that's the first thing we'd change if we went for n1!

Thanks all. I should have specified, this type of budget in these location implies we need to compromise on something. So I appreciate some of you saying you'd like a second bathroom or a parking space etc (we'd like that too and lots more) but this type of money doesn't get you much over here! Can't afford a fixer upper either, need a place where we can quickly move in and that doesn't need too much work.

The first 3-bed looks lovely. Useful to have a spare room even if small, and I prefer a separate kitchen and stairs not directly into the living room. Looks like a really nice house. Good luck!

LindaDawn · 10/11/2023 13:13

I like no 5 but they are all nice.

LindaDawn · 10/11/2023 13:15

Non2 is my least favourite. A bit too overlooked.

BCBird · 12/02/2024 15:57
