hi friends.. what is a realistic budget to do a garden office? I understand it depends on the quality of finish. Can someone please give me some figures on how much you've spent and whether you think it added value to you property. ANY DATA points is appreciated! Thank you!

Can't help you on cost, but don't forget internet access. I used to clean windows and was surprised how many had ugly cables trailing across the lawn to provide a link to the house.

Wifi won't cover far in a larger garden.

We spent about 15k including the base. This was 6 years ago. Doubt it added any value to the house as its just a posh shed. You would need a solid built one to really add value.

Under 5k for ours in the east, its just a fancy cabin which we put together ourselves, including the base. But had it insulated, the floor fitted and hooked up to electric by others so we saved a lot by building it. It's been up 8ish years and still going strong.
