AirFryer or Multi Cooker?

Hello

I am considering buying either a airfryer or a multicooker. I never owned any so this is new territory to me and looking for an advice

I think I will be using predominantly air fryer but then again I like additional options of multicooker. Certainly I have no money or room to buy both.

I like dual zone in air fryer I think it makes a big difference and also I am not sure if air frying function in multicooker is as good as in standalone airfryer. On the same note I think I would use additional options of multicooker but not as often as airfryer, perhaps few times a month.

We are family of 3. I am considering below models but again I am open to suggestions.

I have the AF400 which I think is almost identical to the AF451 (except for the temperature reader). Love it and use it all the time, for me personally having the two drawers is a massive advantage over having other cooking functions.

I bought the ninja foodi max dual drawer one recently. Two drawers is great and I chose that as if I had only got single drawer I think I would have still needed to put the oven on, which would have defeated the point. I have not used the oven once since I bought it and it is fantastic at cooking all the things I need. Only thing I know I will want that I don't think it can do is long slow cooked casseroles but when I was deciding on make/model I prioritised the foods I cook most and that meant air fryer was the way to go.

This is exactly what I am thinking what if I want to make casseroles. So just out of curiosity what is the reason you guys went to air fryer rather than multicooker? Is it just dual zone functionality or something else too?

@user1489844432 I just weighted up how I cook most frequently and decided the airfryer dual was right for me. Eg I can cook chicken or whatever protein (incl. a whole bird) in one drawer then in the other I can do roasted veg, potatoes etc. I tend to do lots of roasted veg, lean meats, fajitas etc and you can do it all in the air fryer, and I almost always use both drawers so it was well worth opting for that model. Whilst I like a casserole I make them far less frequently than other types of meal and as I said previously if I'd bought a one drawer model I'd still need to use the cooker which I know would have annoyed me. For a family of three for everyday meals the dual zone would be perfect I think but it does depend on the types of thing you cook most often.
