I'm trying to decide on colours for our L shaped hall and need help! The house is 1920s and has a mahogany floor (which I am about to oil), stripped skirting boards and picture rails (oak) and three doors leading off the hall which are currently in white satinwood. The ceiling is off white at the moment and looks a bit dingy. We have a lot of art on the walls in the house so I have always tended to go for white/off white to play safe. I'd quite like to try a colour on the walls but not sure where to start. Any suggestions?
