Installation of stacked washer and dryer

Does anyone have experience of installing a stacked washer and dryer? Do any of the major retailers do it with their installation packages? John Lewis told us they don’t do it. If we need to get someone in what sort of tradesperson do we need? We can’t really do it ourselves as there is only me and DH and I have a bad back.

I have had that setup for many years. Basically you install the washing machine and put the dryer on top of it. There are "stacking kits" that keep the whole arrangement more secure, some are universal some are for specific makes. I have used it with amd without.
You do not need a tradespeople.
The last arrangement I had involved a heat pump tumble dryer which is heavier than other dryers - was no problem.

Sorry, seen the bit about your back - so again you don't need a tradespeople, just someone who can lift- if it is a non heat pump dryer, they are not heavy at all.
