I had a new Glow-Worm Energy 30C boiler installed a few months ago and I'm just now getting around to using central heating for the first time after it was initially tested by the installer in the summer. I have an ESi (ESRTP4RF+) wireless room thermostat supplied by the installer.
The thermostat and boiler don't seem to be communicating but to be honest I find the instructions so complicated it's probably just me missing something! The thermostat has a little wired unit next to the boiler and then a wireless controller to use elsewhere in the house.
I've currently got the wireless controller in manual mode. Current temperature in the house according to the thermostat is 16.5C. When I set the target temperature above this (currently 19C), the little wireless symbol comes up as does the little flame symbol on the wireless unit, and the red light marked M/A lights up on the unit next to the boiler. So it seems these two are paired as they should be. However, the boiler doesn't come on.
I can turn heating on manually from the boiler itself by using the 'mode' button and it then comes on, so I know heating works. It just seems the thermostat and boiler are not communicating as they should be? Any ideas anyone? I really don't have time to get the installer back in at the moment so hoping it's a small fix I can do myself.
