Safe Area to raise a family Kent / Surrey

Hello. I have 2 under 2 (no sleep!) I'm looking to buy south of London Kent or Surrey/ Sussex Someplace safe where my kids will be happy with decent schools. I grew up in the country side of Ireland & had a great childhood. Its difficult to arrow down an area. Ideally within 40 mins of London

What's your budget? What size house?

Is your priority lots of countryside, or lots of access to amenities?

To add to the above qs, 40 minutes from whereabouts in London? And do you expect to be there for a while, so secondary schools are important as well as primaries?

Hello. 40 mins from London bridge. 3/4 bed 650k max. Countryside & good schools would be a priority over amenities. Thanks for the reply

West Wickham/ Hayes is very family friendly with excellent schools and within 40 mins of LB. You could just about get a 3 bed for 650k.

I'm further, 1 hr train from Kent direct to London Bridge, but the good schools are mostly grammars. Bit further down from Sevenoaks to make your money go further?

Why not look at outer London boroughs as you will have more school options & be likely to live closer to transport links

Sevenoaks or surrounding villages. Extremely safe and peaceful. Fast trains to London Bridge, Victoria and Charing Cross. Houses expensive but you could find something for that budget.

Not East Kent. Nowhere near Chatham.

Re: Chatham. I wouldn't particularly classify any of the Medway towns as 'safe' except perhaps Rochester.

Tonbridge if you don’t mind the grammar school system. Excellent train service to London Bridge, lovely surrounding countryside and villages. Would get decent house with your budget.

Hi thanks for your message what area are you referring to ? I’ve looked at Sevenoaks nice area but not many houses available. Expensive area for a reason I suppose
