Hello

We have a house which has grey tiles on window and the driveway has grey stone bricks. I have two trees one for by side entrance and one for by front window, I have ordered two wooden Square planters for them but need help choosing a paint colour.

What colour would you suggest will go with the grey and white? I love the idea of a Sage green but not sure if that would stand out and look silly, maybe a blue colour? If you have any colour shade recommendations please let me know! Thank you

Yes, a light sage green would look nice. Blue would look too cold against the grey I think. Maybe a soft pink... Are they flowering trees? If so you'd want something that doesn't clash with the flowers.

Alternatively, could you leave them unpainted and just treat them with something for weather protection? Wood goes with anything and has warmth.

If also go sage green.

I have a bay tree and box balls planted in willow basket planters. They are lined and you can varnish to prolong the planters life.

Sorry! Just realised you're asking for colour suggestions. Slate grey?

Do the trees you've picked to go in the planters flower/have spring blossom at all? It might be nice to pick something that complements this. Other than that a soft greeny blue would be nice- the hint of green would take the coldness out of the blue. In fact Farrow & Ball have a colour called 'Green Blue' that would look lovely.
