Hi could do with some advice on what I need to do here to cover myself both in terms of checks before going ahead with work and putting things in place (contract?) to manage/safeguard the work once started.
The work is partially covered by insurance and we’ve been really rushed (we had a leak in our kitchen which caused damage) and of the 2 quotes we sought our insurance company approved the cheapest. However he’s not on checkatrade and I just want to make sure we don’t rush into committing to with someone only on the basis of price and because of what our insurance wants.
