What cushions with this blue velvet sofa ??

Walls are a light grey, there will be light oak laminate flooring so I need to inject some colour. I do like neutral though so I don't want to go too mad! I also need a rug as there will be two sofas facing each other and I'd like a large rug in the middle of them

Would love to hear some ideas !!

We have teal, orange and gold with our blue velvet sofa.

Is that an orange ? I really am not an orange fan unfortunately

As your sofas are navy blue, if you went for ochre cushions I'd use a grey and ochre rug as that ties on with your walls

I'd go mustard or pink. Then a geometric rug with a grey, blue and mustard or pink pattern.

French connection do some lovely velvet cushions which will look nice, they do a saffron one which would go perhaps.

I was going to say blush pink if you like neutrals, or zesty green if you like a ‘pop’.

Nourrisson make nice rugs for the price, I’ve had several. Galleria are good for multi colour as well

Our blue velvet sofa is more teal than navy, but we have cushions in green, pink, yellow and turquoise. Some are plain velvet but most are patterned. This is an old pic from last year (we've since swapped out the two pale blue ones for two green geometric and have a different - embroidered - yellow one now), but gives an idea of how we've mixed things up.

I made a few with remnants and got the others from Homesense/TK Maxx and ebay.

Bright pops of colour would look lovely with that sofa. I'd go for a neutral rug such as a jute and cotton from Dunelm. Designers Guild has a good sale on.

Designers Guild have nice throws too.
