Moving to Knutsford - advice on areas within Knutsford

Hi

We’re moving to Knutsford from London and wondered if anyone knew the area well? Shaw Heath and Cross Town seem to be not as nice but there are so many great properties. All other areas (Over Knutsford and to the left of the town centre) seem good. That’s my view on it after a few visits. Is it true?

Also, I’ve heard schools are not great but is that just in comparison to Trafford? I know from multiple families that the Trafford schools there are very competitive to get into. Also, it may put undue pressure on my children if they’re ‘the best in NW’ as a few newspaper articles say so this might not be an issue for me to stay in Knutsford and not move to Trafford.

I live in Knutsford. Moved from South Manchester June last year. We live a short walk from centre and tatton park. It's a lovely area with great community spirit.
Whilst I'm still getting familiar with area as it is new to us I would say Shaw Heath is nearing Longridge if I'm correct which is a big housing estate.
I think Cross Town is a nice area.
With regards to schools I can't support despite me working in Trafford as we don't have school age children.
