What's the worst new build snags you've ever had and who was the developer? Did they fix it?

Funny this should pop up. He was mentioned in an article in the guardian yesterday.

My DH lived in a Taylor Wimpy flat for years. He moaned about the cheap materials but there were no terrible snags. His neighbours in the townhouses next door had more problems. One had to call a plumber because the water in her bath wouldn't get hot and came out as a trickle. When the plumber removed the bath panel he found all the rubbish from the builders' lunches, including mouldy sandwich crusts. It was grim but her only consolation was that the water problem was easily fixed.

As per above. Please be very aware before buying a new build or anything built in the last 30 years.
