Hi all
So we had a high pile jute rug which we replaced with a new one as old one was grubby, however the new one has had spillages on, the other day I dropped my drink of water on it and the smell is awful!smells like cat piss but we don't have a cat haha we tried cleaning it with all sorts but no joy. I read online that once jute gets wet it can be a nightmare to get rid of the smell. I'm looking for rugs that don't have jute backing, looked at latex but read to avoid these if you have hardwood floor? We have a toddler so need something comfy to be on. I did look at washable rugs but not so sure if they're any good.
Any recommendations? Thanks
