We had builders round two years ago. Unfortunately circumstances changed and it's only now we can go ahead. I know costs have increased massively so I wondered if anyone could put these 2 year old quotes into 2023 context!
Option 1: double bedroom + shower room in roof. No dormer, velux windows. Stairs go where gas/electric cupboard currently are so we'd have to relocate all that and replace heating system. Knock down non-load bearing wall between kitchen and current bedroom. Even though it's non-load bearing, they said it would need steel due to work upstairs. QUOTE approx 25k for upstairs + 10k downstairs (not including actual kitchen cost or cost of new heating system).
Option 2: single storey flat roof extension on back of kitchen approx 4m x 3m. QUOTE approx 25k (not including actual kitchen cost or windows/doors).
How much do you think these quotes would be now?
