Student house help

Dd in student house and her bedroom is very cold and getting damp bedding. Rest of house don't want heating on. She has been ventilating room as much as possible but cold air outside not exactly helping I guess.
I remember last winter seeing a thing about plug type heaters that I think we're halogen and meant to heat a whole room quite well.
Does anyone have any experience of something like this? Only smallish room so large heater not possible and just not sure what to do.

We have delongi ceramic fan heaters - very good at heating just one room

Do you know if they cost a lot to run?

I've seen people recommended oil filled radiators that you plug in to heat. No experience of them though.

I’ve used an oil radiator for years. Good at warming a room and not too bad on electric costs

We have quite a lot of experience with DS and DD (private rentals) and one good thing is that is always excellent heating Students often study until late at night Talk to the landlord
