Hello,

My partner was my guarantor for my house with mi kids. However we have now split and he's threatening legal action and to take me to court for still seeing his children (their mother is allowing it). Anyways he is now threatening to pull
Out of being my guarantor if he goes down this route. Basically to get back at me. Where do i stand with this? Can he get removed? Will I then be kicked off if I can't find another guarantor? My credit rating was shit due to a previous partner so went to a Iva. I paid 6 months rent upfront for this house x

What:does the contract say?

The clauses for his guarantee in the contract is there to protect the landlord.
The LL will not gain anything by letting your ex out of the contract and once you keep paying rent the LL has no motivation to become involved.
If you have already paid for the 6 months the LL is likely to ignore your ex's requests.
You need to make sure that your rent is paid on time or early and any other contract obligation is done on time.
Read the document
Was the agreement for a year or was it open ended until you or the LL gave notice?
Has your ex got a right to give notice?
