What do I need to know?

I'm thinking of moving from large'ish end of terrace to a bungalow due to my increasing mobility issues

I've not moved in 25 years. What do I need to know about selling my house and buying some where new? Estate Agents are not a reliable source of info given they just want me to move to make them commission.

Start getting boxes now. You'll need more than you think! Olio and freecycle are good for those, or smaller shops. Start culling things- charity shop/sell or keep etc.

What specifically do you want to know?

When you say estate agents aren’t a reliable source of information - do you mean specifically about the houses you are viewing?

If you have already decided to sell you would probably be best to use an estate agent rather than do it yourself. Also decide on a solicitor to use. Although if you are in Scotland it’s a completely different system that I am unfamiliar with.

I moved a couple of years ago. Estate agent was actually really helpful and professional.

But post some specific questions and I am sure people will help if they can
