EBay chest of drawers sticking

We got a secondhand chest of drawers from eBay. The seller warned me that two drawers were sticking because it had been in storage and the wood had swollen a bit. When it was delivered, the drawers were moving but now they’re stuck again.

Googling suggests it’s due to humidity. Any suggestions? The seller says he will take it back if it stays stuck but I want to keep it!

Have you tried spray/wax furniture polish on the runners?

I can’t actually open two of the drawers at all now. Going to try putting a dehumidifier in the room.

Can you sandpaper the sticking parts down a few millimetres get some clearance? You are never going to draw much water from wood with a dehumidifier.

Once you get the drawers out, rub a candle on both sides of the runners (drawer and carcass)
