Beginners guide to upcycling

I have a 1950s wooden sideboard, not ugly but not pretty enough for my daughter's bedroom. I would like to upcycling it by covering it in stick on wallpaper and painting it. Is there a good book that will tell me the basics - like preparing the wood before I paint it, how to cut out the wallpaper accurately, tips and tricks. Thank you

You’re probably best off having a hunt on YouTube.

Thank you, can you suggest some?

No, but any kind of DIY job I ever do I just search on YouTube and there’s always someone to show you how.
I would just type in ‘upcycling cupboard with wallpaper’ or something like that

Instagram is your friend, loads of inspiration and lots of reels posted showing each stage. Start with kachafurniture, for the sheer wow factor, but there are many more.

Wow! So jealous - where is she finding all that beautiful furniture!
