Is there any way to find the sold house price of a new build that was bought straight from a developer? It’s not on right move sold prices

I think it takes around 3-6 months for the prices to be made public?

Neilok · 12/10/2023 18:06

It was sold in Jan

I've noticed that a lot of house prices/sales aren't coming up from more than 6 months ago, some even from Jan 2023. Not sure what's going on with that

There's a really big delay in the Land Registry updating and publishing records.

LindaDawn · 13/10/2023 19:41

I think the sold price is appearing on rightmove approx 3 months after completion date.

Land registry are taking about 18 months to register new builds transfers of part (splitting up of a land title) are taking far longer than straightforward sales/transfers.

Is that why a new build estate that I was curious about how much they sold for is not showing up yet even though over 1 year ago? So if the estate builders don’t use an estate agent to see then it will be a much longer than usual time before the sold price appears on the internet?

Thecatisboss · 13/10/2023 20:27

@LindaDawn yes for the first question - Land Registry are taking far longer for new builds/first registrations (they are more complex and take more work!). 2) Land Registry are a government agency its not whether the builder have used estate agents.

Thanks for the above. Wondered why I couldn’t find it.
