Hello, wonder if anyone can offer advice on how to go about the work we need to do to our house?
Have not got round to anything yet as can’t work out where is best to start. Also hoping to save money with used items where possible.
We need:
- back door (in utility room) changed from current brown old UPVC. Understand would be joiner/carpenter for timber door but who would install an ex display/used UPVC or composite door eg from eBay?
- utility also needs new flooring (currently laminate) looking at cork or karndean etc
- convert lounge window to French doors
- create 2 new internal openings/knock throughs in dining room
- new flooring throughout rest downstairs - cork or oak
- skimming all downstairs currently textured ceilings
- new internal downstairs doors
not sure if general builder could do all or better to sub specialise?
